President Trump yesterday nominated as assistant secretary for legislation at the Department of Health and Human Services Matthew Bassett, who currently serves on the board of directors for the Access Tennessee Health Insurance Pool. Prior to his nomination, Bassett was a senior executive for health care companies myNEXUS and Davita Inc. He previously worked for members of the U.S. House Rules and Energy and Commerce committees and as chief of staff for Kentucky’s Cabinet for Health and Family Services.
