The National Minority Quality Forum tonight will honor AHA Chief Medical Officer Jay Bhatt, D.O., as one of this year’s 40 Under 40 Leaders in Minority Health. Bhatt oversees the AHA’s clinical leadership and health activities and serves as president and CEO of its Health Research & Educational Trust affiliate. “The 2017 winners are doing amazing things that both better and diversify the health care marketplace,” said NMQF President and CEO Gary Puckrein. “They serve as positive role models for our next generation of leaders in minority health." NMQF is a nonprofit, nonpartisan research and educational organization dedicated to ensuring that high-risk racial and ethnic populations and communities receive optimal health care.
