The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services on April 1 paused for at least 30 days its home health agency pre-claim review demonstration in Illinois. It also said it would not expand the demonstration to Florida on April 1 as planned. During the pause in the program, Medicare Administrative Contractors will not accept pre-claim review requests, and home health agencies may submit claims for payment under normal claim processing rules, CMS said. The agency plans to notify providers of further developments at least 30 days in advance on its website.
