The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services has pre-released information on expected changes to its electronic clinical quality measure standards, terminology and specifications for 2018 quality reporting and incentive programs. The agency expects to publish the eCQM changes in late spring. In addition, CMS has updated its eCQM specifications for eligible professionals and clinicians for the 2017 reporting period to align with the domains listed in the calendar year 2016 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule, as well as the Merit-based Incentive Payment System and Advanced Alternative Payment Model tracks of the Quality Payment Program. Issues and questions related to the eCQM specifications may be submitted through the CQM Issue Tracker at http://jira.oncprojectracking.org/browse/CQM.
