The AHA has named to its Board of Trustees William Carpenter III, chairman and CEO of LifePoint Health. Based in Brentwood, TN, LifePoint Health owns and operates 72 hospital campuses in 22 states, as well as physician practices, outpatient centers and post-acute service providers in the communities it serves. Carpenter also is secretary and past chairman of the board of directors for the Federation of American Hospitals. His term on the AHA Board begins immediately and runs through Dec. 31, 2019.
