Hospitals, health systems and other health care organizations can register starting today to host an intern as part of the Institute for Diversity in Health Management’s 2017 Summer Enrichment Program. The SEP places diverse, graduate students pursuing advanced degrees in health care administration or a related field in 10-week, paid internships. Since 1994, more than 1,200 individuals have participated in the SEP, and many now hold senior leadership positions in health care organizations. “While we are proud of the SEP’s success, we want to expand the program so more young careerists can participate in these internships and more health care organizations can access up-and-coming talent,” writes IFD President and CEO Tomás León in an AHA Stat blog post. IFD is an AHA affiliate.
