President signs government, Zika funding bill into law
President Obama today signed legislation funding federal programs through Dec. 9 and providing $1.1 billion in emergency funding for the Department of Health and Human Services and other agencies to combat Zika. The measure passed the House and Senate yesterday. The compromise package to fund Zika response includes $400 million in offsets through rescissions to accounts, including Affordable Care Act funds to set up exchanges in territories and unused Ebola funds.
