During 2017 open enrollment, Healthcare.gov will display information on the relative size of provider networks for health plans in about six states, not all as originally planned, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services announced Friday. The pilot will allow consumers to compare networks for adult primary care providers, pediatricians and hospitals across health plans in a county, the agency said. CMS’s final 2017 letter to issuers in the federally-facilitated marketplaces, released in February, includes more information on the methodology for the network breadth ratings.
