Distinguished Service Award

Distinguished Service Award. AHA Chairman Jim Skogsbergh (left) presented the AHA’s 2016 Distinguished Service Award to William Petasnick, president and CEO emeritus of Froedtert Health in Milwaukee, and a former AHA chairman. Petsnick received the award May 2 at the AHA Annual Membership Meeting in Washington, DC. The award – the AHA’s highest honor – recognizes lifetime contributions and service to health care organizations and associations. Petasnick served as AHA chairman in 2008. He stepped down as head of Froedtert Health in 2012 after 19 years at the helm. Watch a video about this year's Distinguished Service Award winner.
