The AHA will host a May 19 webinar on a Department of Health and Human Services Office of Medicare Hearings and Appeals pilot project that providers may use to resolve Medicare appeals pending before an administrative law judge. OMHA Chief Administrative Law Judge Nancy Griswold and other OMHA officials will provide an overview of the Settlement Conference Facilitation pilot, launched in June 2014. Andrew Wachler, managing partner at Wachler & Associates, also will review considerations for hospitals evaluating whether to participate in the pilot, which was recently expanded to include Part A providers.
