The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services has extended through tomorrow the HealthCare.gov deadline for enrolling in health coverage effective Jan. 1. The original deadline was Dec. 15. “Hundreds of thousands have already selected plans over the last few days, and approximately 1 million of you have left contact information to hold your place in line,” a notice at the website states. “...This additional 48 hours will give you a chance to come back and complete your enrollment for coverage starting Jan. 1.” Open enrollment for 2016 coverage starting after Jan. 1 continues through Jan. 31.
