The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services has extended to Dec. 31 the deadline for submitting electronic clinical quality measure data for eligible hospitals participating in the Hospital Inpatient Quality Reporting program voluntary electronic reporting option. The extension applies only to the eCQM data electronically submitted through QualityNet to support dual reporting to the Hospital IQR program and the Medicare Electronic Health Record Incentive Program. The Feb. 29 attestation deadline for the 2015 Medicare EHR Incentive Program is not affected by the extension of the eCQM dual reporting deadline. Questions about the Hospital IQR may be submitted through the Inpatient Questions & Answers tool at https://cms-ip.custhelp.com, or by calling the Hospital Inpatient Value, Incentives, and Quality Reporting Outreach and Education Support Contractor at 844-472-4477 or 866-800-8765.
