The Environmental Protection Agency today issue a proposed rule revising the regulations for management and disposal of hazardous waste pharmaceuticals. The rule would apply to health care facilities, pharmaceutical reverse distributors, and owners or operators of treatment, storage and disposal facilities that manage hazardous waste pharmaceuticals. The AHA is reviewing the proposed rule and will provide more information to members in the coming days.
