AHA’s Hospitals in Pursuit of Excellence initiative will host a free Sept. 15 webinar on results from the Health Research & Educational Trust’s recent survey on hospital strategies to engage patients and families in their care. Two hospitals also will discuss how they implemented their practices. Patient and family engagement is associated with fewer adverse events, lower health care costs and use of services, better patient self-management and higher patient satisfaction. For more information or to register for the webinar, from 2-3 p.m. ET, click here.
