Alabama Hospital Association President and CEO Mike Horsley recently announced he will retire at the end of this year. The former commissioner of the Alabama Department of Mental Health and the Alabama Medicaid Agency began his tenure at AlaHA in 1991. “Mike has been an invaluable asset for our hospitals, and while he has laid a terrific foundation for his successor, his leadership will definitely be missed," said AlaHA Chairman Clark Christianson, president and CEO of Providence Health System in Mobile. AHA President and CEO Rich Umbdenstock said, “Mike has been a driving force in improving hospital care for Alabama’s patients and families. He has been a committed advocate for Alabama hospitals in ensuring they provide great care to the patients and communities they serve.”
