Assessing the impact of artificial intelligence on health care delivery, managing workforce challenges, addressing environmental sustainability, improving the health care consumer experience: All these topics and more will be highlighted at the AHA Leadership Summit, July 16–18 in Seattle.

This year’s lineup of speakers and session topics is incredible. Leaders from hospitals and health systems — including Advocate Health Care, Carilion Clinic, CommonSpirit Health, Henry Ford Health, Intermountain Healthcare, Mayo Clinic, Northwell Health, Northwestern Medicine, Providence and many other organizations — will share innovative practices for addressing financial sustainability, workforce resilience, health equity, digital transformation, patient safety and other key issues. Several sessions also will focus on the future of rural health care.

Other notable content at AHA’s Leadership Summit focused on health care innovation includes:

  • A plenary session about the future of health care innovation, including the potential impact of generative AI.
  • Sessions with nontraditional providers and disruptors, like Amazon and Walgreens, on their near-term plans for health care, including working with hospitals.
  • An interactive Q&A session on health care governance.
  • Breakout sessions on environmental sustainability and on climate change and health equity.
  • Sessions on strategic investing to fund health care innovation, including how hospitals and health systems can work with and engage with startups for impact.
