Description

January 8, 2020

Attending a Master Trainer course is the easy part of a TeamSTEPPS implementation program at your organization. Competing priorities, resistance, and initiative fatigue can all lead to the demise of the best laid out plans. UW Medicine developed an implementation program to “shrink the change,” and systematically rolled out the program using a 30-60-90 day approach. UW Medicine also developed change teams to focus on ownership versus a top-down approach during the implementation. In this webinar, UW Medicine TeamSTEPPS faculty describe how they work with areas to focus on “bright spots”, leverage quick wins, address resistance, and flex the plan to implement TeamSTEPPS in their organization.

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify “bright spots” in the implementation process and how to leverage them
  • Understand the need to evaluate the process frequently and adjust the plan as needed
  • Understand the difference between ownership and buy-in and why ownership is essential in implementation
