Jones Memorial Hospital - Wellness Screens

Hospital clinicians traveled to seven locations in the rural county to offer free Wellness Screens. They provided a variety of screenings such as blood pressure, bone density, flexibility, cholesterol and glucose levels, pulmonary function screenings, balance/fall risk, and BMI. They also provided nutritional counseling and stroke-risk counseling. Nurses reviewed all results and made referrals as needed.

Impact

Of the 353 people screened, 95 percent said that they learned about their health risks, 80 percent said that they would consult their providers, and 80 percent said they would change their life style.
