Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital - Men's Health Initiative

The Men’s Health Initiative is a broad-based collaborative that uses clinical and psychosocial programming to improve the health status of men. Partnerships involve faith-based organizations, civic clubs, city and county governments, local schools and universities, service and health agencies, physicians and media. The initiative is evidence-based and goes beyond traditional screenings. Programs are highly focused on “language” messaging, whereby the audience is approached with concepts that are specific to the group to improve understanding and retention.
