Mount St. Mary's Hospital and Health Center - HERO (Health Education Raises Opportunities)

The HERO program brings a collaboration of experts into classrooms to teach about important health topics. The topics provide age-appropriate information on a specific health issue; teach children to identify signs of a disease process; or offer a way for children to improve their personal health and that of their families. A unique feature is the program's emphasis on instructing children to be "teachers" within their families.
