All area residents.

The Heart Walk serves to draw attention to the benefits of walking in maintaining heart health.

Impact

Since the Heart Walk's inception in 2005, the number of participants each year has increased. In 2012, 325 Mesquite residents participated in the walk, highlighting how walking can reduce health risks. Events like this also help in the hospital's efforts to develop a health care coalition, a group of health care providers who work together to promote wellness in Mesquite.
