Mercy Medical Center - Immigrant Health Outreach Program-Obstetrics

Through its Immigrant Health Outreach Program with a bilingual nurse patient navigator and medically trained interpreters, Mercy Medical Center offers culturally sensitive pre-natal care in its OB clinic. Following delivery, Mercy provides an in-house health education Spanish TV channel. To follow up on each birth, Mercy’s home care provider – with an interpreter – makes one post-partum home visit to ensure proper feeding and infant care.

Why do they do it?
