Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island - First Steps

First Steps enables new mothers to learn about how to have a healthy family and make new friends in a supportive and open environment. The program was started by several of Memorial Hospital’s family medicine residents and a fourth-year medical student. At each meeting, a maternal child health topic is discussed, healthy snacks are provided and a gift relating to the topic is given to each family.
