Who is it for?

Children and adolescents, ages 5 to 17, who are at imminent risk of psychiatric hospitalization and/or are in the midst of an acute crisis.

Why do they do it?

The goal is to bring services to children and families where they need them most and prevent psychiatric hospitalizations.

Impact

Since September 2007, 204 children and adolescents were discharged from the program. All were children referred from emergency settings; only 21 (10 percent) required hospitalization during their treatment.
