Bear Lake Memorial Hospital - Annual Community Health Fair

This annual health fair provides free and low-cost screenings, including skin lesion checks, prostate exams, foot checks and bone density screenings. Area physicians provide health services and information, and various other community organizations offer activities ranging from free massages to bike safety clinics. Youth are able to participate in building their own first aid kits, glucose and blood pressure testing, navigating an obstacle course and more.

The mission of the hospital is to perpetuate and foster access to optimum quality health care.

Impact

More than 300 Bear Lake County residents, including 70 children, participated. Depending on the screenings selected, participants saved an estimated $762 each and the overall benefit to the community was approximately $119,000.
