Alliance for Innovation on Maternal Health (AIM)
AIM translates quality improvement evidence into implementation steps.
  • Patient Safety Bundles
    AIM offers eight evidence-informed bundles on obstetric hemorrhage, severe hypertension, C-section births, cardiac conditions, substance use disorder, perinatal mental health, postpartum discharge and sepsis. 
American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG)
A professional membership organization offering clinical and decision-making resources for women’s health care providers.
American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP)
An organization of 67,000 pediatricians committed to the optimal physical, mental and social health and well-being for all infants, children, adolescents and young adults.

California Maternal Quality Care Collaborative (CMQCC)
CMQCC provides evidence-based toolkits that have been utilized in numerous hospitals of all sizes to achieve significant results.

    Eight toolkits on cardiovascular disease, substance exposure, early elective deliveries, OB hemorrhage, hypertensive disorders, sepsis, C-section births and venous thromboembolism. 
Council on Patient Safety in Women’s Health Care
The council focuses on improving women’s health and reducing maternal morbidity.

The Joint Commission - Maternal Levels of Care
Maternal Levels of Care Verification is an assessment of an organization’s resources, people and equipment for obstetric and maternal-fetal medicine.

Maternal Mortality Review Committees (MMRC)
MMRCs review maternal mortality and morbidity at the state and local level and offer tools and resources for maternal providers and clinicians.
Million Hearts®
Co-led by the CDC and the CMS, Million Hearts® 2027 is a national initiative to prevent 1 million heart attacks and strokes within five years.
National Perinatal Information Center (NPIC)
NPIC works with hospitals, patient safety organizations, insurers and researchers to collect and interpret the data for qualitative improvements in maternal and infant health.
