Fairbanks Memorial Hospital - Golden Heart Project

The Golden Heart Project is a coalition working to alleviate the impact of chronic alcoholism on individuals and the community. Partners from organizations representing public safety and corrections, government, health care, business, and behavioral health treatment work together to move chronic public inebriates “off the street and into treatment.” The project sponsors and monitors initiatives such as case management for 70 individuals, improved medical detox access, community service patrol, and housing first.
