Senator Bob Dole was an American hero and a giant in the Senate. As a long-serving senator from Kansas and majority leader, he was a staunch advocate for those who experience physical, mental and cognitive challenges and championed the landmark Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. As a veteran himself, he knew what individuals who served in the military faced and strongly supported their causes. During his decades-long career, he strengthened health care in rural America and his work improved the lives of millions of Americans in Kansas and across the nation.

We remember his honor and humor, and celebrate his legacy.
