In 30 days hospital and health system leaders from throughout the nation will gather in Washington, D.C. for the 2024 AHA Annual Membership Meeting.

It’s the nation’s top conference for leaders committed to caring 24/7 for patients and communities, and there is no other forum that provides the opportunities to: learn from top thought leaders in Washington; connect with colleagues from across the country who are leading efforts to transform the way care is delivered; and influence the political landscape as we advocate for policies to support patients, caregivers and communities.

We’ve assembled a top-notch lineup of speakers

Hear from members of Congress and the Administration, including Sen. John Thune, R-S.D., Senate minority whip, Sen. Ron Wyden, D-Ore., chairman of the Senate Finance Committee; a candid conversation with outgoing members, Reps. Brad Wenstrup, R-Ohio, Larry Bucshon, M.D., R-Ind., and Dan Kildee, D-Mich.; Mandy Cohen, M.D., director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention; Andrea Palm, deputy secretary at the Department of Health and Human Services; and Nitin Natarajan, deputy director, Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency. General Lori Robinson, who was the most senior military woman to serve in the Department of Defense, also will participate in a discussion on leadership, overcoming obstacles and the state of U.S. national security.

We’ll also hear from influential media members, including CNN Chief Medical Correspondent Sanjay Gupta, M.D.; co-hosts of The Five on Fox News Dana Perino, former White House press secretary, and Harold Ford, Jr., former five-term congressman from Tennessee; and co-founders of Punchbowl News and former co-authors of POLITICO’s Playbook Anna Palmer and Jake Sherman.  And we’ll be announcing more speakers soon.

In addition, we’ve put together some terrific sessions in which experts from our field will lead discussions on hot topics, including evolving threats in cybersecurity, the promise and challenge of AI, addressing barriers to care, tackling corporate health plan accountability, and more.

Of course, the AHA Annual Membership Meeting also is an opportunity for attendees to learn about the top advocacy priorities for the field and help directly influence the debate by sharing our key messages with lawmakers on Capitol Hill. And we’ll give you the latest insight on the upcoming election and tools that you can use to make sure your issues are front and center.

There’s still time to register for the April 14-16 Annual Membership Meeting. If you haven’t done so yet, please try to join us in person. We can’t promise peak cherry blossoms in Washington, but we can promise that the meeting will offer you an opportunity to learn, connect and influence as we work together to advance health in America.
